Anton Abanovich was born in Moscow. In 1997 he graduated from the Russian Academy of Music (Moscow) having obtained the Master degree. His teachers also included prof. Marina Piccinini (USA) and prof. Felix Renggli (Switzerland). Flutist is Laureate of the International Competitions and has Doctor of Arts degree (Ph.D).
Anton Abanovich has been working in several Russian symphony orchestras conducted by Mstislav Rostropovich, Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Valery Polyansky, Mark Gorenstein since 1994.
Flutist has been on tour like an orchestra, ensemble and solo player in Austria, Germany, Swiss, Holland, Italy, France, Finland, Japan. He performed in the best halls of Moscow (Big, Small and Rachmaninov Halls of the Moscow Conservatory, Moscow State Philharmony, Moscow International Performing Arts Centre), München (Gasteig), Tokyo (Tokyo Philharmony), Basel (Music Academy), Freiburg (Hochschule für Musik) and so on. Also he has various recordings on Russia State TV and Radio as a symphony orchestra player.
Anton Abanovich is a founder of Flute Quartet FLAVIO (flute, violin, viola and cello). In addition to the well-known chamber music pieces, the repertoire of quartet includes original arrangements of the opera overtures by Mozart and Rossini.
Mr. Abanovich since 1997 taught in various musical schools including British school and famous Gnessin Special music school, his pupils participate in a various children's Festival, Competitions and became the winners of some of them. Flutist taught by their own methodic which are adapted for both beginners (children and older amateurs) and to work with professionals, in 2011 he published author’s book «How to learn play the flute».
In 2009-2011 musician was a member of the jury of the International Competition «My Favorite Flute», in 2012 and 2014 – organizer and member of the jury of the International Competition «Gnessinfest». Anton Abanovich was an author of idea, co-founder and artistic director of the First Moscow Flute Convention 2014 with participant of professors from Paris National Conservatory (France) Pierre-Yves Artaud, Vincent Lucas and world-famous flutist Sir James Galway.
