About Natalia Polyaninova

Honored Artist of Russia Natalia Polyaninova (soprano) graduated from the Ulyanovsk School of Music (piano and singing), and then studied at the of the Saratov State Sobinov Conservatory (vocal department) in classes of professors A.Bystrov and L. Smetannikov.

Winner of the International Competition for Opera Singers in Belvedere (Austria, 1998), first prize winner of the festival-contest “April Spring” in Pyongyang (Korea, 2004) and second prize winner at the Rhodes Opera Festival-Competition (Greece, 2005). The soloist of the Moscow State Philharmonic Society.

She worked at the State Academic Natalya Satz Children’ s Music Theater (1992–1998), Saratov Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre (1996–1998), also in Moscow Opera “Arbat-Opera” (1998–2003). Since 2003, Natalia is the soloist of “Shaliapin Opera”.

N. Polyaninova performs in a variety of concert programs, many of them include arias and duos from operas and operettas, as well as chamber music (songs, antique Italian and Spanish music, vocal works of contemporary authors) and folk songs. The singer is often a guest soloist in programs with many Russian orchestras and performed together with conductors, amongst Y. Bashmet, V. Dudarova, V. Ponkin, S. Skripka, S. Politikov, D. Orlov, A. Poletaev. Her concert tours take place in many Russian cities, through Europe and Asia (China, Korea). In 2005 she was awarded the title of Honoured Artist of Russia.
