About Pavel Baginskiy
Pavel Baginskiy was born in Moscow in a family of scientists. Studied in Kyiv M. V. Lyssenko Specialized Secondary Musical School (teacher — N. Naydich). In 2003 Pavel graduated with honours as a pianist from Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music (piano class of V. Kozlov), and in 2007 graduated with honours in opera and symphonic conducting from the same Academy (class of V. Gnedash and V. Kozhukhar).
Since 2008 till 2011 he was artistic director and chief conductor of the Chamber Orchestra of the Rivne Regional Philharmonic. In 2009 P. Baginskiy won II Prize at All-Ukrainian Chamber Orchestras competition “Premier Orchestra” (Kiev) with the Chamber Orchestra of the Rivne Regional Philharmonic
Since 2011 Pavel is a conductor in Kharkov National Opera and Ballet Theatre. The repertoire includes operas “Eugene Onegin”, “The Tsar’ s Bride”, “Pagliacci”, “Cavalleria Rusticana”, “Rita”, “La Cambiale di matrimonio”, “Der Schauspieldirektor”, “Marriage”, the ballets “Le Corsaire “(P. Baginskiy — conductor and director), „The Cavalry Halt“, „The Humpbacked Horse“. Also P. Baginskiy is a guest conductor of the Krainev International Competition for Young Pianists. Since 2012 — he is a permanent guest conductor of the Academic Symphony Orchestra „Slobozhanskiy“, as well as Artistic Director and Conductor of the Kharkiv Specialized Secondary Musical School Symphony Orchestra and Kharkiv State Kotlyarevsky University of Arts Symphony Orchestra.
P. Baginskiy is the author of various arrangements and transcriptions for chamber and symphony orchestra.
